A weekend in Slave Lake

Hello everyone,
So this weekend is a quiet one. We (Carole-Anne and I) decided to stay in Slave Lake. It was well deserved after working and traveling non stop since we got here. Apparently my body needed the rest more than I had originally thought -- I slept for 12 hours the first night! Craziness.
We had to apartment all to ourselves ohhhh peaceful quietness. We went to The Point restaurant which is a really nice chalet type restaurant built on the edge of the water of Lesser Slave Lake -- very beautiful and romantic! We also found a wakeboarding place but apparently the lake is still too cold to do it and we would require a wet suit so I think we're going to wait until the next set of days off to do that.
The best thing about Slave Lake is probably the Tim Horton's coffee. For some reason... maybe the water.. I don't know but it's just amazing. So far every morning (or afternoon depending on when I get up) Carole-Anne and I jump into the truck and drive to Tim's (a mere 1 city block distance away from our apartment) for that awesome coffee. I feel like I am almost an Albertan ;) Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Not a chance.
